The third worldwide edition of #diadedoar, the second in Brazil, will be carried out on December 2nd, with the support of United Nations Foundation, from UN and with Brazilian organization and from the whole world mobilizing to promote the donation importance for civil society strengthening .
Only 22% of Brazilian population donates frequently to civil society organizations, placing the country in the 72nd position, among 135 countries, according to World Giving Index research, disclosed now in November.
In order to change this reality and promote donation culture in the country, 400 organizations and individuals have gathered to #diadedoar and will promote the donation importance on December 2nd. Among them are Care, SOS Mata Atlântica Foundation, SOS Aldeias Infantis, Ação Comunitária, ITACI and Teto. Uncountable companies also entered in the campaign, including construction industry and law firms and consulting office.
REPENSE participates for the second consecutive year as supporter of the Project with the Think&Love Movement (that gather people, brands and causes) and the Repensadores network.
Started in 2012 in the United States with an action to take advantage of the sequence of Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday the #diadedoar campaign is internationally called #GivingTuesday and this year it will be carried out in the whole Latin America and in countries such as New Zealand, Canada, Israel, Australia, Singapore, Ireland, and United Kingdom. Celebrities also adhered, such as the actors Jessica Alba, Edward Norton and Hugh Jackman.
